How To Maintain And Repair Engines

Car engines need regular maintenance. When driving through areas where the engine is particularly wet or dusty, it is also necessary to do some inspection and maintenance for the relevant parts of the engine.

Regular replacement of oil and oil filter.

When the oil passes through the fine holes of the oil filter element, the solid particles and viscous substances in the oil accumulate in the filter. If the filter is blocked, the oil can't pass through the filter element smoothly. It will burst the filter element or open the safety valve. Through the bypass valve, the dirt will be brought back to the lubricating part, which will accelerate engine wear and increase internal pollution.

Keep crankcase well ventilated

Pollutants in the air will deposit around the PCV valve, which may block the valve. If the PCV valve is blocked, the polluted gas will flow back into the air filter. The polluted filter core reduces the filtering capacity, and the inhaled mixture is too dirty, which will cause more pollution to the crankcase, increase fuel consumption, increase engine wear and tear, and even damage the engine. Therefore, the PCV must be maintained regularly to remove contaminants around the PCV valve.

Regular cleaning of crankcase

During engine operation, oxides of high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur and nitrogen in combustion chamber enter crankcase through the gap between piston ring and cylinder wall, and mix with metal powder produced by wear of parts to form sludge. When the quantity is small, it suspends in the oil, and when the quantity is large, it precipitates from the oil, blocking the filters and oil holes, which makes the engine difficult to lubricate and causes wear and tear. In addition, the oxidation of engine oil at high temperature will produce paint film and carbon deposit bonded to the piston, which will increase fuel consumption and reduce power of the engine, and cause the piston ring to jam and pull the cylinder in serious cases. Therefore, the crankcase is cleaned regularly with BGl05 (High Efficiency and Rapid Cleaning Agent for Lubrication System) to keep the engine clean.

Regular cleaning of fuel system

In the process of fuel feeding to combustion chamber through fuel path, colloid and carbon deposit will inevitably form, which will interfere with fuel flow, destroy normal air fuel ratio, cause poor fuel atomization, cause engine surge, detonation, idling instability, poor acceleration and other performance problems. Cleaning the fuel system with BG208 (a powerful and efficient detergent for fuel system) and regularly using BG202 to control the formation of carbon deposit can always keep the engine in its best condition. The traditional disassembly and cleaning method will affect the stability of the engine because of assembly errors. It can not only remove the sludge and coke in the fuel tank, fuel duct, nozzle, combustion chamber and exhaust gas system without disassembly, but also repair the friction and wear caused by the operation of the machine.

Regular maintenance of water tank

.

Rust and scaling in engine water tank are the most common problems. Rust and scale will restrict the flow of coolant in the cooling system, reduce heat dissipation, cause engine overheating, and even cause engine damage. Coolant oxidation can also form acidic substances, corrode the metal parts of the water tank, causing damage and leakage of the water tank. Regular use of BG540 (strong and efficient water tank cleaner) to clean the water tank, remove the rust and scale, not only can ensure the normal operation of the engine, but also extend the overall life of the water tank and engine.
